High Temperature PTFE Belts & Tapes

The products we manufacture are used in many industries, including areas such as the food, textile and automotive industries, as well as companies that specialize in the manufacture of packaging. PTFE belts, which are made from glass or aramid fibers, are used in particular in the production of fluffy nonwovens, as they are perfectly resistant to temperature fluctuations, among other things.

In our offer you will also find PTFE laminated belts, which are particularly valued by those companies that produce food or chemical products due to their unique properties – the structure of our products is comprehensively protected against the ingress of aggressive substances and grease. These products also have exceptional impermeability thanks to their lamination with polytetrafluoroethylene films.

Functional belts with PTFE foils – suitable guides, reinforcements and joints

Our range also includes a wide range of guides, reinforcements and connections for our laminated products. The following are available:
• Aramid cords, silicone profiles and steel cams
• Glass and aramid films
• Connectors made of steel, plastic and aramid

Laminated belts

Laminated belts are manufactured by covering the fabric with additional layers of PTFE film. Their crucial advantage lies in their impermeable surface resistant to oils, chemicals and aggressive fumes. A wide range of joints, reinforcements and guiding systems. Wide range of FDA-attested colors (red, blue, silver, black). Continuous work temperature: -150°C to +260°C.

Types and dimensions:

  • Width: up to 1500 mm.

  • Thickness: 0,1 mm to 0,5 mm.

  • Joints: mechanical or permanent.

  • Side reinforcement: PTFE fabric / PTFE film.

  • Guiding: PTFE knobs, steel rivets / knobs, silicone / aramid thread.

Application: Automotive industry, food industry (grilling, tortillas), chemical industry, polymers processing.

multi ply belt.jpg

Multi-Ply belts

Multi-Ply belts are manufactured with the use of the latest market-available technology developed by EDER. Several layers of material come together to form belts characterized by dimensional stability, high stiffness and tearing resistance with the added advantage of smooth joint. On request we may also cover the belt with EDROCK coating, enhancing the durability of the belt under the most extreme conditions. Continuous work temperature: -150°C to +260°C.

Types and dimensions:

  • Width: up to 2600 mm.

  • Thickness: 0,15 mm to 3 mm.

  • Layers: 2 to 5.

  • Joints: permanent or mechanical.

  • Edge reinforcement: PTFE coated glass fabric / PTFE foils.

  • Guiding: PTFE knobs, steel rivets / knobs, silicone / aramid cord.

Application: Automotive industry, composite production, clothing industry.

EDROCKâ„¢ coating

EDROCKâ„¢ is the most advanced PTFE belt coating available at Eder. It is highly anti-adhesive due to a narrow selection of fluoropolymers. Highly impermeable and chemicals resistant. EDROCKâ„¢ coating enhances the durability of the belt under extreme conditions. The parameters of newly invented coating make it more resistant to staining, which may increase the wear on the PTFE belts. EDROCKâ„¢ coating protects the fibres, responsible for mechanical durability, against aggressive media. Continuous work temperature: -150°C to +260°C.

Application: automotive industry, textile industry, chemical industry, composite industry.

belt joints.jpg

Belt joints

Joints applied to our belts depend on the belt type, machinery on which they operate, roller diameter and numerous other factors. Inadequate joints may disqualify the product or reduce its service life. Our experience allows us to individually select the best options for each appliance and product type.

Types and dimensions:

  • Permanent joints – Overlapped, Scarfed, Saw Tooth, 2PLY, 3PLY.

  • Mechanical joints:

    • steel – Anker®, Aligator,

    • steel in braid – Spiral Anker® Gold,

    • synthetic – Spiral PEEK,

    • aramid – Castellated, Bull Nose.

Application:
closed fabric and open mesh belts.

edge reinforcements.jpg

Edge reinforcements

Edge reinforcement is a vital element protecting the sides of the PTFE belt and increasing its durability. Welded either from the topside or from the underside, depending on the appliance and the product type. Mandatory with guiding systems.

Types and dimensions:

  • PTFE-TR.

  • PTFE coated aramid.

  • E-Flex: PTFE foil.

Application:
closed fabric and open mesh belts.

belt guides.jpg

Belt guiding systems

Guiding system used in our PTFE belts (both closed fabric and open mesh) ensure that the belts operate correctly on any given machine and negate the issue with belt alignment, prolonging its service life. Guiding systems may be installed on one or both sides of the product on its topside or underside and are adjusted to the structural requirements of the machine.

Types and dimensions:

  • Metal rivets: ⌀ 3 mm – ⌀ 10 mm.

  • PTFE knobs: ⌀ 8 mm – ⌀ 20 mm.

  • Metal eyelets: ⌀ 3 – ⌀ 20 mm.

  • Aramid cords: 4×4 mm, 5×5 mm, 6×6 mm.

  • Silicon profiles: shaped.

  • Crown guiding: according to the scheme.

Application: closed fabric and open mesh belts.
