Aluminium

Aluminium is a soft, lightweight metal with excellent thermal conductivity and natural corrosion resistance. We stock aluminium sheet and shim in a range of thicknesses, as well as perforated sheet, for gasket fabrication, heat shielding, EMI shielding, and general industrial applications.

Common Applications

  • Heat shield and thermal barrier gaskets
  • Low-pressure flange gaskets
  • EMI and RFI shielding gaskets
  • Automotive exhaust heat shields
  • HVAC ductwork gaskets and closures
  • Electrical enclosure gaskets
  • Spacers and shims in lightweight assemblies
  • Perforated sheet for ventilation and screening
  • Cryogenic service gaskets
  • General industrial gaskets where weight reduction matters

Available Grades

Aluminium Sheet (0.6–6 mm)

General-purpose aluminium sheet in mill finish. We stock a broad thickness range for gasket cutting, heat shields, and fabrication work.

Aluminium Shim (0.29 mm)

Thin-gauge aluminium for precision shimming and spacing applications where minimal weight and good thermal conductivity are required.

Aluminium Perforated Sheet

Aluminium sheet with punched hole patterns for ventilation panels, screening, and lightweight gasket reinforcement cores.

3000 Series (3003) — Manganese-Alloyed

Al–Mn alloy sheet (3003 grade). Moderate strength with good formability and corrosion resistance. Used for drawn components, heat exchangers, and general-purpose sheet metalwork where slightly higher strength than commercially pure aluminium is required.

5000 Series (5052 / 5083) — Magnesium-Alloyed

Al–Mg alloy sheet (5052 and 5083 grades). Significantly higher strength than 1000-series with excellent marine corrosion resistance. Specified for structural gasket components, marine hardware, and pressure vessel heads.
