Natural Materials
Natural fibre materials have served industry for decades and remain a reliable choice for specific sealing, cushioning, and insulation tasks. We supply cork, felt, and their composites in sheet form for gasket cutting and fabrication.
Overview
Cork, wool felt, polyester felt, and leather remain a reliable choice for specific sealing, cushioning, and insulation tasks where synthetics cannot match their cost-effectiveness or compliance performance. Their inherent compressibility, vibration-damping properties, and thermal insulation make them hard to replace. Cork-rubber composites and wool felt account for the bulk of natural-product use; leather is now almost exclusively a legacy choice for pump and compressor maintenance. Cork-rubber composites combine the resilience of natural cork with the chemical resistance of elastomer binders, while felt materials excel in dust sealing, oil wicking, and low-pressure cushioning.
Cork
Cork-Rubber Composite (CR Binder)
The volume cork grade. Natural cork granules bound with neoprene elastomer give oil and fuel resistance with the compressibility and vibration-damping cork is bought for. Standard grades: ACN60, MR31, NP50 — plus a flat-hard grade for higher loads.

Natural cork granules bound with nitrile elastomer. Improved oil and fuel resistance compared to CR-bound grades.
