Compression Packing

Braided Packing for Pumps & Valves

We supply braided and moulded compression packing for pumps, valves, agitators, and rotating equipment across every industry. Our range covers low-speed slurry pumps to high-speed centrifugals, and everything in between.

Packing Types

Braided and moulded packing in PTFE, graphite, aramid, carbon fibre, and hybrid constructions — matched to your equipment and service conditions.

PTFE Packing

Pure and filled PTFE braids for chemical service. Resistant across the full pH range. FDA-approved options available.

Graphite Packing

Flexible graphite braids for high-temperature and steam service. Self-lubricating, low-friction, with strong thermal conductivity.

Aramid Packing

High-strength aramid fibre braids for abrasive slurry service. Built for wear — common in mining and heavy-duty pump applications.

Carbon Fibre

Carbon fibre braids for high-speed rotating equipment. Low coefficient of friction and rapid heat dissipation.

Hybrid Packing

Multi-material constructions combining PTFE, graphite, and aramid layers for versatile, general-purpose applications.

Die Formed Rings

Pre-formed packing rings cut to exact stuffing box dimensions for fast installation and consistent compression.

Applications

Compression packing is used wherever a rotating or reciprocating shaft passes through a pressurised housing. We stock packing suited to each equipment category below.

Pumps

Centrifugal, reciprocating, and slurry pumps. We can recommend the right packing for your shaft speed, media, and pressure.

Valves

Gate, globe, ball, and butterfly valve stems. Low-emission packing options available for fugitive emissions compliance (leakage through valve stems to atmosphere).

Agitators & Mixers

Vessel agitators, mixers, and reactors. Split-ring designs (packing rings cut radially so they slide over the shaft) for easy installation without equipment disassembly.

Marine & Stern Tubes

Propeller shaft and stern tube packing for marine vessels. Water- lubricated and grease-lubricated options.
