FKM — Viton, Tecnoflon, Dai-El, Fluorel
FKM (Fluoroelastomer)
FKM fluoroelastomers seal reliably from -20 °C to +200 °C continuous, with broad resistance to petroleum oils, fuels, and most concentrated acids that destroy NBR and EPDM. Viton™ is the Chemours brand of FKM and the most familiar trade name. We supply FKM sheet rubber in standard, moulded, insert-reinforced, and peroxide-cured grades, recognisable by their characteristic brown colour, for petrochemical, automotive, and high-performance industrial applications.

Common Applications
- Petrochemical flange gaskets for fuels, solvents, and aromatics
- High-temperature exhaust and manifold gaskets
- Aggressive chemical processing seals (specify Type B/F or peroxide-cured grades for amine/base exposure)
- Semiconductor equipment gaskets in solvent service
- Aerospace fuel system seals (specify GLT/GFLT low-temperature grades for sub-zero service)
- Hot oil and hydraulic system gaskets
- Acid handling equipment gaskets (excluding amines and hot strong caustics)
- Automotive fuel injection and turbo system seals
Available Grades
Brands we stock: Viton™ (Chemours), Tecnoflon (Syensqo, formerly Solvay), Dai-El (Daikin), Fluorel (3M)
Standard FKM (75 Shore A)
General-purpose brown FKM sheet with broad chemical resistance and high-temperature capability. Our standard grade for petrochemical and aggressive chemical sealing.
Moulded FKM (Multiple Durometers)
Precision-moulded FKM available in 60, 70, 75, 80, and 90 Shore A hardnesses. Tighter tolerances for critical sealing applications.
FKM Insert-Reinforced
FKM bonded to glass or Nomex fabric plies for improved tear resistance and dimensional stability in large-format gaskets and high-temperature diaphragms.
FKM Type B (Higher Fluorine, 68%)
Higher-fluorine terpolymer with improved fluid-volume-swell resistance to fuels and aromatics compared to Type A (66% F). Both Type A and Type B are bisphenol-cured and similarly attacked by amines, hot bases, and saturated steam.
FKM Peroxide-Cured (GBL-S, GF-S, ETP)
Peroxide-cured grades — the chemistry that delivers genuine improvement in saturated steam, amine, and hot caustic service over standard bisphenol-cured FKM. Specify for SIP-cycled equipment and amine exposure.
FKM Low-Temperature (GLT/GFLT)
Low-temperature grades that extend the cold limit to -40 °C (GLT) or -30 °C (GFLT), peroxide-cured. Specify for aerospace fuel systems and any service routinely below -15 °C.
